A transplanted Yankee, Andrew has been happy to call Savannah home for the past six years. And had the pleasure of hosting the Miss Hilton Head Island/Miss Hilton Head Island Teen Pageant since its inception. Watching the joy on these young ladies faces and the heights the pageant has helped them reach brings him back every year.
As part of the WSAV News 3 team he's anchored the news in Savannah, Bluffton and Hilton Head, reporting on everything from soldiers homecomings, to police scandals and high school football championships. Those fantastic stories have helped him win two Associated Press Awards with WSAV News 3 in 2011 (Best Spot News) and 2013 (Best General Reporting).
After graduating from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama, he spent almost a dozen years at WALA Fox Ten Mobile, working his way up the ladder from Editor to Producer to Reporter before getting a chance to Anchor both News and Sports. During his time in Mobile, Andrew reported on hundreds of stories and witnessed more than a dozen hurricanes, including life changing moments covering the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana.
Moving on to Savannah in 2005, Andrew found a happy home as an anchor and reporter. During his time Andrew was part of several Emmy nominated newscasts, and won an Associated Press award for Best Web Based Story for his profile of animals displaced and looking for new homes after the wildfires in Ware County.
An avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Andrew now also roots for the Gamecocks and Bulldogs to beat up on those Yankees!!!
